Founded in April 2025, RAINES is a community for Korean professionals working and researching in the Robotics and AI fields throughout the New England area. Through research seminars, career seminars, and networking events, we aim to expand our members' professional networks and foster innovation and growth in the field. 뉴잉글랜드 지역에서 Robotics와 AI 분야에 종사하고 연구하는 한인 전문가들을 위한 모임으로 2025년 4월 창립되었습니다. 연구 세미나, 커리어 세미나, 네트워킹 행사들의 운영을 통해 한인 전문가의 네트워크 확장 및 분야에서의 혁신 및 성장을 도모하고 있습니다.

This seminar, hosted by the Korean Consulate in Boston, brought together experts and enthusiasts to explore the future of AI-powered robotics and autonomous driving. Dr. Haewon Park shared insights on social robots, while Prof. Yoon Kim discussed large language models, sparking engaging conversations on emerging technologies. The event fostered US-Korea collaboration, offering a platform for networking, knowledge sharing, and building new connections in the Boston tech community.
주 보스턴 대한민국 총영사관의 후원으로 개최된 이 세미나는 AI 기반 로보틱스와 자율주행의 미래를 탐구하기 위해 전문가들과 열정적인 분들을 한자리에 모았습니다. MIT Media Lab의 박혜원 박사님은 소셜 로봇에 대한 통찰을 공유했고, MIT EECS의 김윤형 교수님은 대규모 언어 모델에 대해 논하며 새로운 기술에 대한 활발한 논의를 이끌었습니다. 본 행사는 한미 협력을 강화하고, 보스턴 기술 커뮤니티 내 네트워킹, 지식 공유, 그리고 새로운 연결을 구축하는 기회의 장을 마련했습니다.

On August 21st, we successfully concluded the K-RAINES Summer Seminar: Recent Advances in AI Problem Solving at the newly renovated Boston Consulate General! With a sold-out capacity of 55 attendees, this seminar was conducted with tremendous enthusiasm. Dr. Jungkoo Kang from IBM Research shared insights on LLM-based problem solving and workflow generation, while Prof. Junehyuk Jung from Brown University & Google DeepMind presented research on automated mathematical reasoning. We had meaningful time with insights from two speakers at the forefront of AI research, along with networking and dinner with participants. Thanks to the various prizes provided by the Boston Consulate General, we also enjoyed a fun raffle time, and most participants were able to take home a gift :) We thank the Consulate General of the Republic of Korea in Boston, Korea Evaluation Institute of Industrial Technology (KEIT), Rainbow Robotics, and all attendees who joined us for this seminar! K-RAINES will continue to create more opportunities for learning and exchange with various people.
지난 8월 21일, 새로 단장한 보스턴 총영사관에서 K-RAINES Summer Seminar: Recent Advances in AI Problem Solving을 성공적으로 마쳤습니다! 55명 정원 마감과 함께 뜨거운 관심 속에 진행된 이번 세미나에서는 🧠 IBM Research 강정구 박사님이 LLM 기반 문제 해결 및 워크플로우 생성을, 📐 Brown University & Google DeepMind 정준혁 교수님이 수학 추론 자동화 연구를 공유해주셨습니다. AI 연구의 최전선에 있는 두 연사의 인사이트와 함께, 참가자분들과의 네트워킹과 만찬으로 의미 있는 시간을 보냈습니다. 또한 보스턴총영사관에서 다양한 상품을 지원해주신 덕분에 즐거운 래플 시간도 함께 하며 참가자분들 대부분이 선물도 하나씩 들고 갈 수 있었습니다 :) 이번 세미나를 위해 함께해주신 주보스턴대한민국총영사관, 한국산업기술기획평가원(KEIT), 레인보우로보틱스, 그리고 참석해주신 모든 분들께 감사드립니다! 앞으로도 K-RAINES는 다양한 분들과 함께 더 많은 배움과 교류의 장을 만들어가겠습니다.
